Dr Chidamber is one of the most competent doctors in Opthalmology. I visited his clinic in 2006 for the first time when i was diagnosed (by another doc) with Retinal Detachment. Around the time, patients wouldn't get an appointment prior to their ailments. Even though he had a waiting period of about a month, he took me in the very next day courtesy a cancellation. He completed the surgery and treated me to perfection. Today in 2021 (June), my visual acuity of the affected eye is about 70% of the other eye. That general eye fitness is decided by a few attributes other than the doctor's surgical expertise like the patient's general health conditions (e.g. diabetes, body hygiene), following the doctor's advise (e.g. maintain pressure, dietary supplements, regular eye checkup etc), support from family members etc., I do not know where all Dr Chidamber's practice has spread but, as far as Hyderabad - people consult him only for their eye surgeries and disorders. No questions asked. There are very few medical practitioners who practice for public welfare. A true saint!
